Hybrid Mobile Workbench System

Most workbenches are designed for one thing.

  • Traditional Workbench: A robust bench with a flat surface, front vise, and bench dogs.

  • Roubo Workbench: Heavy-duty with thick legs and top, known for stability.

  • Scandinavian Workbench: Features a thick top, tool well, shoulder vise, and tail vise.

  • Split-Top Workbench: A bench with a gap in the middle for clamping and tool storage.

  • Nicholson Workbench: Lightweight with a full apron, designed for hand tool work.

This leaves a big problem for most of us woodworkers who are tight on space. And that is exactly the problem we solve with the Hybrid Mobile Workbench System.

One of the coolest features of this build are the flag hinges which allow you to easily lock and unlock the bench pieces to each other to allow for endless set up combinations designed to suit your immediate project needs.

This workbench literally has dozens of configurations you can set it up in.

The 3’ x 8’ Table

Ideal for working on long or large workpieces, such as doors, long boards, or panels. The extended length provides ample space to lay out and assemble these larger pieces.

The 4’ x 6’ Table

Better suited for projects that are more square or compact, like smaller furniture, cabinets, or boxes.

Multiple Workstations

The separate benches can be used as individual workstations, allowing multiple processes (like sanding, cutting, and assembly) to occur simultaneously.

Large Project Assembly

The extended surface area is perfect for assembling large pieces like furniture, cabinets, or tabletops.

Split Bench Cutting Station

The gap between the tables allows the track saw to cut through large panels without the saw blade contacting the workbenches.

Saw Station Extension

The workbenches on either side of the table saw provide additional support for both the infeed and outfeed of long pieces of wood.

Milter Saw Station

The workbenches on either side of the miter saw provide extended support for long boards, ensuring that the material is level and stable during the cut.

And let’s not forget the most important configuration of them all…

The DJ Station

Whether you're sanding down rough edges or dropping some smooth grooves, this setup is perfect for home DJ sets that will have the whole family dancing. Who knew your woodworking bench had a hidden talent? Just don't mix sawdust with your vinyl!
